Red Pairs
Acrylic and pen on heavy illustration board
About 7″ x 5″
———————-
I’ve been drawing a lot of these little circles lately. Again, the scan of this isn’t as nice as the original- I need to figure out how to get a better quality picture of the artwork.
Also, I’m starting a new project, where I take time lapse pics of myself while I am working in the artroom. Not sure how it will turn out, but the first one is here.
If you want this painting, you have to be the first one (that wants the picture) to leave a comment, and then email me at karin@nirak.net and tell me your name and mailing address.
Since this will fit in a regular envelope, no need to pay shipping. (If you are international, I will check on shipping. North America is fine.) It will be signed.
Like my other work, I’m releasing this under Creative Commons, except this one has a non-commercial share alike license.

I probably won’t make a regular habit of posting anything other than the artwork to this blog, but since it is new I wanted to make a bit of an introduction. I may occasionally post updates like this.
I recently added a FAQ page with some basic info about my free artwork project. If you have any questions not addressed there, please feel free to email or post a comment here with your question and I will add it. I see I am getting some site subscribers and some RSS subscribers- that’s great! I also post new artworks to my Twitter account – and by golly the Twitterites are quick to respond! I expect it to get better, though, as I add more artwork. If it becomes a problem, I may switch to a lottery system rather than a first comment gets it system.
In case you don’t know, I also blog at nirak.net (my professional/school/library related blog) and os-agnostic.com (my “everything else” blog). OS-agnostic is where you’ll find occasional art related postings, though they are interspaced with other randomness. In fact, I just posted about this project a few minutes ago.
Thanks to everyone that reads/looks and comments. I am really enjoying the feedback and the opportunity to share my artwork.

Floating Clouds
Acrylic on heavy illustration board
About 5″ x 7″

The scan on this painting does not do it justice- it looks much better in person. I have laid a transparent blue over a dark purple for the background- it really came out well.
