Doorway

Doorway
Acrylic and water soluble graphite pencils on illustration board
5″ x 7″

—————

I have this obsession with doorways. I keep trying to do a bigger painting, but it never turns out very well. These little paintings work, though.

I used water soluble pencils for this one- so it could theoretically smudge a little. I’ll package it so it does not move much, so it should be OK.

Also, I’m not posting this one to Twitter right away this time, so folks subscribed to the RSS can have a shot at it. :)

If you want this painting, you have to be the first one (that wants the picture) to leave a comment, and then email me at karin@nirak.net and tell me your name and mailing address.

Since this will fit in a regular envelope, no need to pay shipping. It will be signed.

Like my other work, I’m releasing this under Creative Commons, except this one has a non-commercial share alike license. If you click on the picture, you’ll be taken to Flickr, where you can download a higher resolution version of the pic.

More circles! Big surprise, huh? I’m not sure where these are going or quite what they are about. Something about connections.

The scan on this painting does not do it justice- it looks much better in person. I have laid a transparent blue over a dark purple for the background- it really came out well.

What is this site? It’s where I give away free artwork. Why? Because it is fun! My name is Karin Dalziel, I have a BFA in painting, and am now working on a masters in Library Science.
